Government Changes a Big Step Forward for Toowoomba’s Medicinal MJ Project
Earlier today, Federal Member for Groom John McVeigh, announced in a media release that Toowoomba’s future as a major global player in the medicinal MJ industry is a step closer, following the announcement by the Morrison Government today that from next month it will prioritise licences for medicinal MJ projects that have been granted Major Project Status.
Asterion was granted Major Project Status for its Toowoomba medicinal cannabis project in April, 2019.
Federal Member for Groom John McVeigh said the $450 million medicinal MJ proposal at Wellcamp was granted Major Project Status earlier this year, reflecting its likely impact on exports, jobs and industry development.
