Blackrock is Canadian-based, discovery-driven exploration company focused on uncovering the next big economic gold and/or silver deposit. Anchored by a seasoned Board, Blackrock is focused on blue-sky opportunities with an aim to acquiring large-scale packages of land that are in prolific gold belts within stable jurisdictions. The company is currently focused on its portfolio of properties in mining-friendly Nevada, consisting of low-sulfidation epithermal gold & silver projects located along the established Northern Nevada Rift in north-central Nevada, and the Walker Lane trend in western Nevada. Blackrock’s flagship Tonopah West property amasses the largest package of claims within the historic Tonopah silver district, one of the largest silver districts in North America. Blackrock is the first group to conduct modern exploration back in the district, targeting the historic workings for the first time since production shut down in the 1940’s due to low metals prices. The project has great exploration potential, and hasn’t seen drilling in over a decade, with previous operators such as Teck, Placer Dome and Newmont doing minimal work at the project.

Hole 1, from the ongoing 7,000m drill program at Tonopah Wes, returned multiple significant intercepts, including 3 metres grading 2,198 g/t silver equivalent, in addition to 29 metres grading 965 g/t silver equivalent. Assays are pending from additional holes from this program. Understandably, after announcing the results of Hole 1, Blackrock’s stock has been incredibly strong, exploding to new all time highs and more than tripling the company’s market capitalization. The company also recently completed a $7.5M financing, with well known precious metals focused billionaire Eric Sprott participating and taking $5M of the total.

Presenting on behalf of Blackrock Gold is Andrew Pollard, Blackrock’s President & CEO. Prior to joining Blackrock in 2019, Andrew had established himself as a sought-after management consultant within the mining industry. Mr. Pollard founded the Mining Recruitment Group Ltd (MRG) in 2006 and has amassed a “Who’s Who” network in the mining & finance world, leveraging his personal relationships to help shape what have become some of the most prominent and successful resource companies. In a sector where management is crucial, he has served as a trusted advisor to exploration companies and producers ranging in size from seed round through to over $100 billion in market capitalization.
