FTMIG sits down with Kevin Keough, President & CEO of Evergold Corp for a year end catch up and to discuss the results to date of the company's 2020 Phase I drill program. Kevin is respected in the junior exploration space for being a straight-shooter, and in this interview he doesn't sugar coat the fact that Phase I results this year didn't "hit it out of the ballpark" and fell short of some investor expectations (even though this was the first time some of the company's properties had been drilled). With that said, Kevin firmly believes the company is well positioned and lays out a strong case that 2021 could be great year for Evergold at both their Snoball and Golden Lion properties. The company intersected some very high grades (albeit on shorter intercepts) in initial drilling at Snoball and encountered good lengths of lower grade gold and silver mineralization at Golden Lion. Based on various evidence, the company feels they drilled the wrong way at Snoball this year and got hints of high grade mineralization, but missed the core of it by drilling sub-parallel to the main zones. They now have a plan to adjust their drilling position and direction for Phase II in 2021 in order to test where they feel they need to in order to intersect the mineralization broadside. At Golden Lion, IP geophysical data seems to indicate that Evergold just missed some highly prospective, coincident resistivity and chargeability highs, with some of this year's holes just catching the edge of the anomalies. The company plans to adjust their drilling for 2021 to test the heart of those coincident IP anomalies and remains very optimistic they will return significantly more favourable results compared to this year.
In addition to reviewing this year's results (to date) as well as discussing plans for 2021, Kevin also touches upon the company's plans with respect to financing. He then goes on to field some questions from the FTMIG community, tackling topics like what was the biggest challenge in 2020 and whether camp building activities this year will allow the company to get an earlier start to exploration work in 2021.

Evergold is a junior exploration company looking to make a discovery of merit in B.C.'s Golden Triangle / Golden Horseshoe. Evergold is only just over a year old, completing its IPO on October 4th, 2019. The company has two flagship properties - Snoball and Golden Lion - both of which were drilled in 2020 and appear to host potential for a high-grade gold and silver epithermal system. CEO Kevin Keough and advisor Charlie Greig are trying to follow up on their notable success at GT Gold's large-scale Saddle copper-gold discovery (Kevin is the former CEO of GT Gold and Charlie still serves as GT Gold's VP Exploration). GT Gold features a large, bulk tonnage resource ( greater than 16 million gold ounces equivalent) currently being advanced to the Preliminary Economic Assessment stage, and is backed by investment from gold mining giant Newmont Corp and famed resource entrepreneur Ross Beaty.
Evergold Corp is listed and trades on the Toronto Venture Exchange under the symbol TSX-V: EVER, on the OTC marketplace under the symbol OTC: EVGUF and on the Frankfurt Exchange under symbol FRA: A2PTHZ.
